Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has explained why he refused to condemn Canada for denying Nigeria’s defense chief a visa.
In a recent social media post, Sani revealed that he initially wanted to condemn Canada, but changed his mind after learning about the purpose of the trip and the large number of people intended to travel.
Sani’s decision has sparked interest, given his history of activism and advocacy for human rights and good governance.
The former senator’s statement comes amid speculation about his purported defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I wanted to condemn Canada but when I heard the purpose of the trip and the number of people wey wan travel,my bodi come weak,” he wrote.
