The Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, joined thousands of Muslim worshippers in offering special prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s good health and wisdom in steering the affairs of the nation.
A statement issued by the minister’s Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity, Comrade Mati Ali, and made available to Online Tribune in Dutse, Jigawa State, confirmed the minister’s participation in the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at the central Eid ground in Babura, Babura Local Government Area.

According to the statement, the special prayers took place shortly after the Eid congregational prayer, led by the Chief Imam of Babura, Malam Salisu Salihu. The minister arrived at the prayer ground at about 9:00 AM, joining community members, government officials, and religious leaders in the worship.
Comrade Mati Ali noted that Malam Salisu Salihu offered prayers for President Tinubu’s good health, courage, and divine guidance for the success of his administration. He also prayed for peace, progress, and prosperity in the country, as well as for other leaders and citizens.
The minister expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for witnessing another Eid and urged Nigerians to remain united, peaceful, and committed to national development. He emphasised the importance of fostering brotherhood and supporting the government’s efforts in ensuring security and prosperity across the country.
The Eid celebration in Babura was marked with joy, as residents exchanged pleasantries, engaged in charitable acts, and reflected on the values of Ramadan.
