The Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan has adjourned the hearing of a suit filed by Sat Guru Maharaj Ji, the founder of One Love Family, against Prophet Ojo Amos, also known as Elewuogbo.
The complainant alleged defamation by the defendant, claiming that the cleric accused Maharaj Ji, through media publications, of selling human body parts for money-related rituals.
During the proceedings on Monday, the claimant’s counsel, Barrister Olasehinde Obisesan, stated that the trial was adjourned due to the absence of both the defendant’s lawyer and the defendant himself.
“The suit against the defendant, Prophet Amos was been adjourned due to the non-appearance of the defendant and his counsel while it is also adjourned because of the defendant’s failure to file the motion in court.”
Presiding Judge Justice Oloyede Semiu Oyediran ruled that the case be adjourned until April 16, 2025.
