Davido’s cousin and music executive B-Red has sparked massive excitement across social media after announcing his intention to sign a new artist to his record label, Red Nation Music, with a staggering N50 million budget.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, the HKN-affiliated artist revealed that he is on the lookout for a “dope artist” to join his label and benefit from an eight-month development deal.
“Looking for a dope artist to sign to my record label @rednationmusic. I have 50 million Naira to spend on you in 8 months… tag a dope artist,” B-Red posted to his thousands of followers.
The offer has drawn widespread attention from aspiring artists and fans alike, many of whom have begun tagging musicians they believe deserve the opportunity.
What sets this initiative apart, however, is B-Red’s claim that the gesture is purely altruistic.
“And this is just to help someone, I don’t want anything in return…,” he added in a follow-up post.
B-Red, born Adebayo Adeleke, is a member of the influential Adeleke family and has been a part of the Nigerian music scene for over a decade.
As of press time, the tweet had garnered over 1.3 million views, with thousands of tags and responses flooding in.
