Weeks after firing his former manager, Kamal Ajiboye over his inability to penetrate the international market with his music, David Adeleke, otherwise known as Davido, has welcomed Asa Asika as a replacement.
Davido, who described Asika as a true brother, said he was happy to welcome him back. According to him, “Welcome back brother. It is about to be a crazy year. Up we go.”
Days back, news came out that Davido would announce a new manager this week, with many suggesting that Asika could come back to Davido’s HKN record label, but the Omo Baba Olowo, as he’s fondly called, kept his cards to his chest.
Asika who was announced by Davido on Tuesday, was said to have worked with the singer before Ajiboye was employed. The latter worked with Davido for more than four years before he was relieved of his duty two weeks ago.
Reacting to the development on his Instagram account, Asika said: “No smoke without fire. No more rumours. We are back. Welcome to the Plug David.”
