Under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, Ogun State has witnessed the emergence of influential aides, whose expertise has significantly contributed to the state’s development.
Notably, Olatokunbo Talabi, the Secretary to the State Government, and Dapo Okubadejo, the Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, have played pivotal roles in advancing the administration’s agenda and they are regarded as the brainboxes of the administration with the prediction of future political careers.
Talabi brought a wealth of experience from the private sector to his role as SSG. Prior to his appointment, he served as Director at Superflux International Limited, a leading security printing company, where he honed his skills in management and strategic planning.
His transition into public service has been marked by a commitment to effective governance and the implementation of policies aligned with Governor Abiodun’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda.
Dapo Okubadejo’s tenure as the Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser has been characterised by strategic economic initiatives aimed at transforming Ogun State’s fiscal landscape. Before joining the state government, Okubadejo was a Partner and Africa Head of Deal Advisory & Private Equity at KPMG, where he provided strategic counsel to numerous local and international investors across Africa. His expertise in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and infrastructure advisory has been instrumental in attracting investments and fostering economic growth within the state.
