DanKwambo has no political match in Gombe ― Aide

IT has been opined that considering his performance as a two-term Governor of Gombe State as well as his track record as a public servant over the years, Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Hassan DanKwambo does not have any political match in the state for now.

The opinion was expressed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Junaid Usman Abubakar while reacting to recent media publications that his principal had underperformed in the area of governance and physical development of the State.

Junaid Usman Abubakar who sent in the reaction from the USA copies of which were sent to Journalists in Gombe stated that, “the best animal on earth is a human being and at the same time, the worse and most dangerous animal on earth is still human beings. I m not in any way surprised about the antics of such writers because educated and intelligent people don’t discuss people but they discuss issues and Ideas but mean and mischievous people always discuss and attacked personalities.”

He added that: “Anyway, as a human being of a different category and, I will never degenerate myself the way those sponsored blackmailer or writer is doing. No matter how blinded one can be, he can never deny the fact paying salaries as at when due is more than an achievement by any government. if it is not, then a visit to a number of APC controlled states in the country will tell the story about Gombe State.”

The media aide further boasted that: “When you talk about the payment of pensions, that is where the accusers of Hassan DanKwambo have exhibited higher sense of not only ignorance but myopism, because Talban Gombe has done 100 times far better than previous administration which in the first instance refused the pensioners their entitlements and intentionally created and left heavy burdens of pensions after creating so many liabilities before handing over to Dankwambo.”

He added that when Hassan DanKwambo came in as the Governor of Gombe State, even the salaries of the traditional rulers were not been paid after the previous administration created and appointed all the Emirs to first class status with the mischievous intentions all in a hurry to embarrass, “Our revered elder statesman, the late Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Shehu Usman Abubakar of blessed memory.”

The Governor’s aide explained that he was not writing to convince the writer, “Because he has been hallucinating beyond redemptions. Apart from payment of salaries on which Governor Dankwambo was awarded the best labour friendly Governor in Nigeria, from an incorruptible organization, the Nigerian Labour Congress which is just like its sister organization, Nobel Peace price which is the highest award earth, I still pose this to the public, what about the over 1,780 kilometres of roads network Dankwambo constructed in Gombe state not to even talk of the newly ongoing over 25 new roads he started just some few months to end his tenure?”

He further asked, what about the 600 blocks of classrooms he constructed in Gombe state and what about the 6 solid and physical higher institution he established In Gombe state, namely State Polytechnic, Bajoga; School of Islamic studies, Nafada; School of Nursing, Dukku; University of Science and Technology, Kumo; School of Journalism Gombe? And what about the abandoned projects he inherited and completed them like Gombe International Hotel started by late Hashidu administration’s but abandoned by the Danjuma Goje led administration and completed by Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo?

While reacting to the fallout of the PDP gubernatorial primaries he stated that: “For Jamilu Isiaka Gwamna, the truth has to be told, his harsh decision to immediately decamped to the APC did not only expose his shortcomings but has brought an end to political shenanigans. This is the second biggest mistake he has committed, the first one was when he connived with defunct APP Executives to betray late Abubakar Habu Hashidu of blessed memory by contesting a governorship ticket with his boss, who brought him to political limelight by making late Hashidu to go back to the defunct DPN even,when a lot of elders in Gombe state advised him not to go against a father figure like Hashidu who made him to be what he is today.”

He concluded that, “Jamilu Isiaka and co-travellers are not in anyway matches to Ibrahim Dankwambo or distinguished Senator Bayero Usman Nafada, the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Gombe state. They are not mates in politics and so it shall remain.”
