The defendant, who resides at Zuba Tipper Garage, Abuja, is standing trial on a two-count charge.
The prosecutor, Zannan Dalhatu, told the court that one Arma Shaibu, of Kado village, Abuja, reported the matter at the Utako Police Station, Abuja, on March 15.
Dalhatu alleged that defendant and one other, now at large, bought a Bajaj motorcycle valued at N240, 000, from one Shaifu Shuaibu of Jabi Garage Abuja, for N40, 000.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendant knew the motorcycle was stolen.

Dalhatu said the offences contravened Sections 79 and 319 of the Penal Code.
The defendant, however, denied committing the offences.
The judge, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50, 000, with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case until April 19, for hearing. (NAN)
