Mrs Kikelomo Bashir Adeniyi, wife of the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs, over the weekend arrived Kebbi State to formerly launched the maiden Customs Officers Wives Association (COWA) in in Kebbi State.
The Occasion which climaxed the desired to have such a platform in Kebbi State Command of the Customs since 2019, have in in attendants the State Governor’s wife, Hajia Nasare Idris and many of wives of top government’s officials in the State.
In her speech at the occasion, Mrs Adeniyi called for sustainability of the newly established Association in the State (COWA) in the state, urging them to reach out to various communities, providing support for orphanages, widows and other Vulnerable groups across the State.
She also talk of the need for members to be equipped with skills, knowledge needed to excels in their personal and professional lives, as well as networking, to create platforms for members to share ideas and collaborate on a particular projects.
”As we move forward, we are committed to building on the progress we have made and exploring new ways to support our members and communities. I want to urge you all to continued to work together, support one another and make a possitive impact in our communities.”
Mrs Adeniyi also expressed her profound gratitudes to Kebbi Command of the Nigeria Customs for hosting her and her entourage, adding that her visit will create new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Earlier in her speech, the Chairperson of COWA in Kebbi State, Mrs Chinma Nwokorie, expressed that COWA play a vital role in supporting the welfare of Customs Offiers and their families.
”As we launch COWA in Kebbi Command, I urged all members to actively participate in the association initiatives and contributes to its growth, may this launch mark the beginning of a new era of cooperation, development and advancement in our Command and Communities,’ she said.
