Cross River State Correspondent for the Nation newspaper, Comrade Nsa Gill, has been appointed as Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor of Cross River State, Prince Bassey Otu.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. A. Owan Enoh on 11th March, 2024, with ref no: SSG/GSA/102/Vol.VI/333.
In the statement, the governor, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State, also approved the appointment of Sir Maurice Effiwatt as Acting Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Mr. Linus Obogo as Special Adviser, Media & Publicity and Mr. Emmanuel Ogbeche (Former CPS) as Special Adviser, Media to the Governor (Abuja).
Meanwhile, His Excellency has also approved the confirmation of the appointment of Prince Edwin Okon, as Chairman of the Cross River State Internal Revenue Service and further confirmed Mr. Abang Sylvester Otu, as the State Chief of Protocol.
However, the statement also contained the immediate suspension of Mr. Uko Inaku as Chairman of the Cross River State Civil Service Commission.
It was announced that the appointments and confirmations are with immediate effect.
Until his appointment, Mr Nsa Gill was the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Cross River State Council.
