Eze, 17, whose address was not provided had, however, pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and attempt to commit an offence.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Ahmed Ali had told the court that on Sept. 9, one Saidu Mudi arrested and brought the accused to the station.
Ali said that the accused conspired with one other person, now at large, and entered the house of one Sunday Okoli with intent to steal.
The prosecutor, thereafter, prayed the court for adjournment as an investigation into the matter was still going on.
The offence, he added, violated Sections 97 and 95 of the Penal Code.
In her ruling, Magistrate Sa’adatu Gambo ordered that the accused should be taken to a remand home.
Gambo adjourned the matter until Sept. 24 for further mention.
