Magistrate Muhibah Olatunji remanded the accused persons in prison custody and adjourned the case until May 15, for the presentation of facts and sentencing of Toheeb.
At the arraignment of the defendants, Kazeem pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing, while Ologbenla pleaded guilty to the offences preferred against him.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the two teenagers had no legal representation at their trial.
The Prosecutor, Insp Emmanuel Abdullahi, had told the court that the duo committed the offences on May 7, 2018, around 4:00 a.m. at Aderemi Road, Ile-Ife.

Abdullahi said that the accused stole an electric cable whose value had yet to be ascertained, the property of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC).
According to him, the offences contravened Sections 383, 390 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
