Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Sunday Baba had told the court that one Hadiza Abdullahi of Kinkinau Kaduna, reported the matter at Tudun Wada Divisional Police Headquarters on Aug. 31.
Baba said the defendants and three others, now at large, conspired and robbed the complainant of jewellery worth N800,000, wristwatch valued at N50,000, Infinix phone valued at N80,000 and a cash sum of N5,000.
The prosecutor said the defendants were armed with a screwdriver, local gun and other dangerous weapons during the course of the crime at the complainant’s residence.
Baba added that during investigation the defendants confessed to having committed the crime and some of the stolen items were recovered from them.
The plea of the defendants, who were docked on a two-count charge of conspiracy and robbery, was not taken.
Baba said that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 59 and 283 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law, 2017.
