Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been granted bail in the sum of N1 million by an Upper Area Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The court ruled that the bail is contingent upon the provision of two sureties in the same amount on Monday.
According to Portable’s lawyer, Barrister Isaac Adebayo, one of the sureties must be either the Chairman or Secretary of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), while the other must own landed property within a Government Reserved Area (GRA), with a valid Certificate of Occupancy.

Barrister Isaac Adebayo expressed confidence that the singer would fulfill the bail conditions and be released soon.
Recall that Tribune Online earlier reported Portable’s arrest in Abeokuta on Sunday, April 13, following a defamation suit filed by Fuji musician Saheed Osupa, facing charges of criminal defamation, intimidation, inciting public disturbance, and cyberstalking.
