Residents of Ireti Ayo Area of Ilesha, Osun State are now living in fear of being arrested by security operatives following the discovery of the death of a couple, Olasunkanmi and Fisayo Eso in their apartment last Friday in the area.
One of the residents who simply identified himself as Adetunji told Tribune Online at the weekend that, no one could ascertain the cause of their death but expressed that, he believed, security men would get to the root of the matter.
He hinted that police has swung into action to unravel the cause of the incident as the lifeless bodies of the couple had been evacuated from their apartment in the house for autopsy.
He, however, charged them after investigation to make the report of the autopsy conducted on the deceased known to the members of the public.
Adetunji who said, most of them are now afraid of being indiscriminately arrested by the police in the area, also appealed to the concerned authorities to intensify efforts to get clues that could assist them in the course of their investigations.
Speaking on the development, the state police command spokesperson, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola assured that the police would get to the root of the matter.
According to her, the command is awaiting the outcome of the autopsy to know what to do next.
