A Microfinance Bank, Life Above Poverty Organisation has suspended its Union meetings due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This disclosure was contained in a statement issued to Newsmen by The Head of Communications, LAPO Microfinance Bank, Remi Akande, on Tuesday.

Remi stated that the postponement is to forestall the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and also protects the lives of staff, clients and the community.
“Life Above Poverty Organisation LAPO has suspended its Monthly Union Meeting amongst other preventive measures to forestall the spread of the virus as well as protect the lives of its Staff, Client and the community we serve.
“The world is up against an unprecedented challenge and it has become imperative for collective effort to fight against the coronavirus Pandemic,” Remi said.
He expressed LAPO’s commitment to the well-being of its staff and clients and would take measures to protect them against the disease.
