The English Premier League is one of the most exciting in the world. It’s not all about winning titles though. This season’s relegation battle looks like being one of the most controversial in the history of the league

Betting on the English Premier League takes place all around the globe, gamblers constantly visit the Twin.com official website to see the latest odds available on matches.

No club wants to be relegated to the Championship but three will be this season. It’s just possible that the three clubs who won promotion to the English Premier League last season will be relegated this term.

Burnley and Sheffield United could well be on their way back to the Championship. They’ve both had miserable seasons with far too many goals being conceded. Over 130 goals have been put past them but they still have an outside chance of survival. It’s not looking very likely though, especially for United.

Luton Town were the other club promoted from the Championship last season. They’ve put up a much better fight but again are a team that concedes too many goals. They were in excellent positions at both Newcastle United and Bournemouth (after leading 3-0) but only earned one point.

It’s possible that the relegation issues in the English Premier League could be decided by off-the-field decisions. Both Everton and Nottingham Forest have been deducted points this season for breaking financial rules.

Everton were deducted ten points at one stage but saw that reduced to six on appeal. There is a possibility more points could be taken from them. With the club struggling for form, their long spell in the English Premier League might just end in May.

Nottingham Forest have had four points deducted but are also appealing against that decision. It could well be chaos in the final months of the season. Off-the-field decisions may prove the telling point in who will be in the Championship next season.

Brentford have been in poor form in recent months. They have fared well since winning promotion three seasons ago but it’s been a struggle this term. Crystal Palace probably need a couple more wins to be sure of another season in the top flight.

There are going to be some crucial matches played in the final weeks of the season. Three of Everton’s final four fixtures are at home to Brentford and Sheffield United and a trip to Luton Town. They will want to be safe before their final fixture as that’s away at Arsenal on May 19.

Nottingham Forest travel to Sheffield United and Burnley in their final three fixtures. The away match at Burnley on May 19 might just be one they have to win to stay in the English Premier League. A time almost as exciting as watching a sports movie lies ahead of us but you need to check the news headlines as well as the match results.
