The Senior Pastor of CAC Oke Ayo Iseyin, Pastor Paul Olusola Aderoju, has called on the federal government to take decisive action in addressing Nigeria’s growing challenges of insecurity, unemployment, inflation, kidnapping, and other social vices.
The cleric made the call during the Church’s annual Convention Thanksgiving Service, emphasizing that addressing these issues is critical for the nation’s advancement.
Pastor Aderoju urged Nigerians to prioritise righteousness and avoid criminal activities in order to foster a peaceful and prosperous country. He also reminded citizens that their actions should always reflect a commitment to the greater good of the nation.
While addressing the congregation, Pastor Aderoju commended Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for his efforts in driving development across the state. However, he stressed that more attention needed to be focused on improving security, given the rising concerns over safety in the region and nationwide.
“The government must act swiftly to ensure the security and well-being of every Nigerian,” Pastor Aderoju said. “It is only when we tackle issues like insecurity and unemployment that the nation can truly progress.”
The senior pastor also encouraged the members of CAC Oke Ayo Iseyin to remain focused on their spiritual journey, noting that the ultimate reward for every believer is to attain eternal life in heaven.
During the service, the guest minister, Pastor Dr. Henry Ojo, the President of CAC Worldwide, delivered a powerful sermon on the theme, “Heaven: Our Final Home.” Pastor Ojo admonished the congregation to serve God with diligence, repent from their sins, and adhere strictly to biblical teachings, emphasizing that eternal glory is the ultimate goal for every Christian.
In his speech, Pastor Ojo praised the leadership of Pastor Paul Olusola Aderoju and the church, which has made significant spiritual progress over the last 32 years. He credited the church’s success to its focus on pure evangelism and the propagation of the gospel.
The convention, which ran for a week, featured a variety of activities including lectures, sporting events, drama presentations, and prayer sessions. These events were designed to engage the congregation both spiritually and socially, fostering community spirit while deepening faith.
CAC Oke Ayo Iseyin, established in 1993, has grown to become a prominent church with several branches in Nigeria and abroad. The church’s emphasis on both spiritual growth and social responsibility continues to impact communities locally and globally.
