THE workers under the Joint Union Council of Federal Ministry of Science and Technology (FMST), on Thursday, protested and rained cursing on Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr (Mrs.) Amina Shamaki over an alleged unpaid training and other allowances.
The protesters who were shouting “Shamaki must go; Shamaki ole (thief)”, besieged her office and disrupted official activities.
As at the time of filing this report, the protesters have divided themselves into two segments, while some were protesting right inside her office, other moved to the minister’s office to lodge their complaints.

In her short appearance, the Permanent Secretary, Dr (Mrs.) Shamaki said nobody could move her out of the ministry, saying “nobody can take me out of this office. God brought me and not a Human being. He is the only one who can take me out of here.”
