Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bauchi State chapter, Reverend Ray Miner, who gave the advice, said they should immediately report any strange movements around them to security operatives for prompt action.
He also urged them not to raise unnecessary alarm that could lead to tension, just as he tasked Christians to use the Christmas and New Year festivities to pray for peace and unity.
In his Christmas and New Year message, the CAN Chairman stated that without peace in the country, no one would be able to practise his religious beliefs. He also pointed out that the period of the festivities should be used for sober reflection.
Miner called on Christians in the state to be tolerant and live harmoniously with people of other religions, because according to him, Christianity is all about tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
