THE Christmas last minutes shopping in Lagos has seriously been affected by the fuel scarcity and long traffic caused by vehicles queuing for fuel.
At Mile 12 Market. the market was so rowdy as many persons were seen rushing to do last minutes shopping for christmas. The traders were seen busy selling their goods while the customers were seen buying what they could afford.
A basket of tomatoes which used to sell for 5,000 now sells for 10000.
A basket of pepper which used to sell for 3000 now sells for 7000
Chicken which used to for between 2000 to 4000 depending on it size now sells for between 4000 and 7000.
The prices of good worsen with the fiell scarcity in the country. good of comm odities sky rocketed on Saturday in Lagos. As buyers have no choice than to buy what they can afford.
A bag of foriegn rice goes for 18000 while the Lagos Lake rice sells for 12500.
