Chinonso Ikegwu unveils new vision

Cybersecurity and digital assets expert, Chinonso Gladys Ikegwu, has provided insights into her aspirations to revolutionise the landscape of cybersecurity and digital assets governance.

With excellent academic honors and a rich background in corporate law with a wealth of experience in navigating complex legal and regulatory frameworks, Ikegwu aims to address the critical challenges facing the cybersecurity and cryptocurrency sectors.

According to her, the proposed endeavor focuses on leveraging her advanced skills and extensive experience to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance in the rapidly evolving fields of cryptocurrency and digital assets governance.

With a vision that encompasses reducing cyber threats, enhancing regulatory compliance, she noted that her skills position her suitably to foster a secure and resilient global cryptocurrency ecosystem.

According to her, “As the digital economy continues to expand, it’s imperative to establish robust cybersecurity measures and effective governance frameworks for digital assets,” Ikegwu remarked.

Sharing her dream further, she noted that “My goal is to contribute to national security, strengthen the GDP, and create a safer environment for cryptocurrency innovation and investment globally.”

Chinonso who serves as a Regulatory Specialist at the New York State Supreme Court, where she provides strategic legal counsel and offers recommendations on pending motions as her role involves thorough legal analysis and effective communication to facilitate informed decision-making by the judiciary.

Ikegwu’s accolades include a merit-based scholarship as a Dean Scholar at New York University School of Law, as well as certificates of recognition from the Nigerian Law School for academic excellence.

A peep into her academic journey shows that she has been honored with awards for academic excellence and outstanding service throughout her academic and professional career.

In her previous roles, Ikegwu worked across diverse practice areas, including Fintech, Compliance, Data Protection, and Corporate Advisory.

She has provided strategic counsel to prominent organizations such as LeapFrog Investments, Tiger Global, and SoftBank’s Vision Fund 2 on high-profile investments in technology-driven companies.

Chinonso’s expertise extends to advising on legal and regulatory considerations for cryptocurrencies and other digital assets in Nigeria, as well as compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks.

Ikegwu’s dedication to driving innovation, mitigating risks, and promoting sustainable growth in the digital economy underscores her commitment to shaping the future of cybersecurity and digital assets governance globally.
