Nollywood actor, Stan Nze, has shared his views on love, forgiveness and infidelity, stating that cheating can be forgiven in some situations.

Stan Nze made the remarks during an interview at a movie premiere when he was asked whether love alone is enough to sustain a relationship or marriage.

Responding to the question, the actor said the answer is not simple.

According to him, the type of love that helps relationships last goes beyond attraction and emotions, explaining that it is built on commitment, sacrifice and selflessness.

Speaking further, Stan said true love involves kindness, patience and the ability to forgive. He noted that many relationships struggle because partners find it difficult to forgive mistakes when they occur.

For this reason, he believes that the right kind of love can help couples work through challenges and stay together.

Addressing the issue of infidelity, Stan Nze said forgiveness is possible when a partner cheats.

However, he stressed that forgiveness should not be mistaken for accepting repeated misconduct.

He said: “Real love is enough, am not talking about ‘butterflies in your tummy’… not that. The love that Christ preached, the one that is agape, the love in Galatians 5:23, it’s not built on flesh, it’s genuine. The one that’s selfless, the one that’s kind, forgives easily because the things that happen in marriage or relationship that don’t make it work, the fact that you cannot forgive. Love is enough if it’s the right love.

“Absolutely, I can forgive cheating, but we shall not continue in sinning that grace might be abound. So you would not be stupid but if someone offends you or does something that’s not right, that’s what it is. It is not a licence to be stupid,” he added.
