Chase your dreams, ambitions with unwavering determination, Ebonyi first lady tells women

Wife of Ebonyi State Governor, Mrs. Mary-Maudline Nwifuru has called on Nigerian women to continue pursuing their dreams, aspirations and ambitions with unwavering determination.

Mrs Nwifuru in a statement made available to journalists in Abakaliki through her Press Secretary Ms Nnenna Oshibe, gave the charge to Nigeria women during the opening ceremony of the 4-day study tour on leadership etiquette and sustainable development for women held at Hilton Bomonti, Istanbul Turkey.

The 4-day study tour with the theme ‘leadership etiquette for nation building’ was organized by the office of the secretary to the Government of the Federation in collaboration with the Prime Unique Women Initiative (PUWI) for spouses of top government and female government officials.

She, however, commended the contributions and support of the Nigerian government in making her society a better place for all.

“I bring you warm greetings and felicitations from Nigeria and particularly, from the finest people of Ebonyi State, on this remarkable occasion of the opening ceremony here in Istanbul, Turkey. I am greatly delighted to be here and even more, humbled by this rare opportunity to rub minds with you.

“I always love to acknowledge our strength, resilience, and determination in life. These inspirational values in us contribute largely to shaping our families, communities and the societies we live in.”

Mrs. Nwifuru acknowledged the outstanding performances in various leadership assignments given to women which is instrumental in driving progress and development. She advised them to continue to demonstrate remarkable courage and strength in the face of challenges and obstacles.

“In the face of challenges and obstacles, continue to demonstrate remarkable courage and strength. Our voices have been instrumental in advocating for gender equality, women’s rights, and social justice.”

Mrs Nwifuru was accompanied to the programme by the Secretary to the State Government Prof Mrs Grace Umezurike, Barr Mrs Felicia Nwankpuma, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Mrs Jessica Chinedu Uburu, Chairperson Ebonyi LGA.
