A non-governmental organisation, Royal Ambassadors Charity Home (RACH), says it has identified and recorded a total of ten thousand, two hundred and fifty (10,250.00) people that fall under the categories of people to help and care for in Abia State.
Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the organization’s chapter in Abia State Wednesday, the Executive Director/CEO of the organisation, Nathan David Okwudiri, said the identified people “range from the following Clusters: orphans, widows, persons with disabilities, abandoned or destitute children on the streets, and other persons with special needs in society.
According to him, the organisation is set to take place in Abia State through humanitarian, charitable, and developmental activities and empowerment programmes, adding, “No nation in the world grows with her teeming youths engaging in crimes, sectionalism, or infringement or violation of the fundamental human rights of orphan‘s, widow’s, persons with disabilities, abandoned or destitute children, and the needy in society.
“Therefore, the aims and objectives of Royal Ambassadors Charity Home, RACH, include but are not limited to helping, caring for, and empowering persons with disabilities, disadvantaged persons, orphans, widows, abandoned destitute children, and the needy in society; reaching out to the unreached in the military, Police, para-military agencies, club/gaming houses, market places, hospitals, schools, villages, communities, and cities; and giving qualitative educational training and sound teach-ins to the voiceless, hopeless, and the less privileged youths by assisting them to regain their rights and privileges and above all, enjoying these rights just like other citizens of the country”.
Others, he said include “to promote public enlightenment and orientation programs that will enhance the productivity of unemployed youths as to be gainfully employed, to train and empower the less privileged youths and needy in skill acquisition scheme for entrepreneurial business and also give education scholarship aids to the orphans/needy in our society, to render such assistance to government agencies towards saving the lives of youths from drug/child abuse and female teenagers from unwanted pregnancies and at the same time, helping to eradicate human trafficking in our society through orientation programs and to give free medical healthcare services to the less-privileged persons, persons with disabilities, orphans, widows, abandoned destitute children and the needy in our society.
“We also want to raise, recruit, train and nurture end-time armies who will become spiritual warriors and praise champions as nation builders and ambassadors, to advocate, promote and defend the fundamental rights of the less privileged persons and persons with disabilities in Nigeria and other African countries, to help and assist youths, persons with disabilities and the less-privileged persons towards developing and transforming the God-given talents, skills and gifts for global recognition and to have a good working relationship and mutual cooperation with other organizations both nationally and internationally who have similar aims and objectives like ours for the general advancement of our society”.
He advised the newly inaugurated branch executive “to be dedicated, devoted, and committed to your social responsibilities without engaging in any form of partiality, discrimination, favouritism, or injustice in your day-to-day administration.
“To crown it all, I, therefore, wish to call on the Abia State Government, Local Government authorities, philanthropists, donors, and well-meaning people of Abia State, in general, to partner with Royal Ambassadors Charity Home and sponsor her to fulfil and actualize most of her programme activities and empowerment skills in the State”.
Royal Ambassadors Charity Home, or RACH, is a Non-Profit Organisation established on October 15, 2005, and according to Okwudiri, it is saddled with the responsibilities of helping, caring for, and empowering orphans, widows, persons with disabilities, abandoned or destitute children on the streets, the poor, and other people with special needs in society.
In his welcome address, the newly inaugurated state coordinator, Elder Iroabuchi Alozie Enyinnaya, noted that the organisation was established “to duly demonstrate the love of God among people around us through acts of compassion, caring, lending a voice to the voiceless, and empowering the needy in our society towards maximising their God-given talents.
