CCII seeks Olubadan’s endorsement for forthcoming Ibadan Cultural festival

The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) has sought the endorsement of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, for the forthcoming 2024 Ibadan Cultural Festival.

The Chairman of the Planning Committee, Balogun Gaphar Ojetola, led his members on a courtesy visit to the Alalubosa residence of the Olubadan on Monday.

He emphasised that the visit was necessary to receive the blessings of the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Balogun Ojetola, who outlined all the activities of the Ibadan Festival, said, “We are here to receive your blessing before we can proceed with other activities of Ibadan Week.”

“We rejoice with you, our Kabiesi, on your coronation as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland. May your reign be peaceful and impactful.”

Balogun Ojetola reiterated that the Festival aimed to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland through various events, including talent hunts, beauty pageants, and other cultural displays.

“We will be glad to have you on the ground as the royal father of the day on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the grand finale,” he concluded.
