The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has outlined the categories and eligibility requirements for candidates seeking employment in its 2026 recruitment exercise.

The corps, in a recruitment notice made available on Thursday by Pauline Olaye Fispon, the Head of the Department of Administration and Human Resources, said applications are open to qualified Nigerians for positions in the officer cadre, marshal inspectorate cadre, and road marshal assistant cadre.

Under the officer cadre, FRSC said vacancies are available for Superintendent Route Commander (SRC), Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC), and Assistant Route Commander (ARC).

According to the notice, applicants for the Superintendent Route Commander position must possess a first degree in MBBS, BMBCh, or an equivalent qualification in medicine from a recognised institution, while candidates applying for Route Commander and Deputy Route Commander positions must hold degrees in disciplines such as pharmacy, nursing, engineering, and other related fields.

The corps added that candidates seeking appointment as Assistant Route Commanders must possess a BSc, BA, or HND from recognised institutions.

For the marshal inspectorate cadre, FRSC said applicants are required to possess qualifications such as NCE, ND, RN, RM, or equivalent certificates from approved institutions.

The agency also announced openings for Road Marshal Assistant I, II, and III positions, noting that candidates with at least three credits in SSCE, including English Language and Mathematics, may apply.

C. Possession of a valid National Driver’s Licence will be an added advantage.

D. All certificates and qualifications must be declared and presented at the point of recruitment.

E. Applicants must be medically fit and present a certificate of medical fitness issued by a government-approved hospital.

F. Male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65 metres, while female applicants must have a minimum height of 1.58 metres.

G. Candidates must possess current practising licences where applicable for medical and allied professional disciplines.

H. Applicants must be of good character and free from financial indebtedness.

I. Applicants must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.

Applications are to be submitted online through the FRSC recruitment portal at recruitment.frsc.gov.ng, with the exercise scheduled to remain open for four weeks from July 3, 2026.
