Cabinet reshuffle: Arewa group lauds Tinubu’s decision to retain Matawalle

The Arewa Youths Consultative Forum (AYCF) has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for  retaining  Minister of state for defense, Bello Matawalle in the recent cabinet reshuffle.
  The was contained in a statement issued by the President General of AYCF, Yerima Shettima and made available to newsmen in Kaduna .
The statement noted that the decision was a significant step towards addressing the security challenges faced in the North and the nation as a whole.
It said  President Tinubu’s decision highlights the importance of continuity and stability in addressing critical issues such as national security.
” By retaining  Matawalle in his cabinet, President Tinubu has demonstrated a commitment to ensuring that the necessary expertise and experience are retained in key positions within the government.
“By retaining Matawalle, President Tinubu is not only recognizing the importance of regional representation but also acknowledging the valuable contributions that individuals from different backgrounds can bring to the table.
“We commend President Tinubu for recognizing the value of  Matawalle’s experience and expertise in matters of national security. His knowledge of the security landscape in the North, particularly in Zamfara State, will be crucial in formulating and implementing effective strategies to combat insurgency and other security threats.
“By retaining Matawalle in his cabinet, President Tinubu has demonstrated a commitment to continuity and stability in the government’s approach to security issues.
“We call on Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal to take a cue from President Tinubu’s decision and cease his unnecessary hostilities against the Defence Minister. It is essential for all stakeholders to work together towards a common goal of ensuring the safety and security of the people.
” Governor Lawal should focus on the job he was elected for and collaborate with Defence Minister Matawalle to address the security challenges facing Zamfara State.
“As a prominent advocacy group in the North, our approval carries significant weight and underscores the importance of Matawalle’s role in addressing security challenges in the region.
“We commend President Tinubu for his decision to retain Defence Minister Matawalle in his cabinet. This move is a positive step towards addressing security challenges in the North and the country at large. With Matawalle’s continued leadership and expertise, there is hope for a brighter future for Zamfara State and the nation as a whole.
