The Chairman of Buji Local Government Area, Najibullah Falalu Tukur, has reaffirmed his council’s commitment to supporting all initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence, unity, and social wellbeing among the people through sporting activities in the area and the state.
Tukur made the disclosure at the final match and closing ceremony of the third edition of the late Emir Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi Unity and Peace Soccer Championship, held at the New Gantsa Playground.
He said: “We remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote social welfare, sports development, peacebuilding, and cultural harmony across all our districts.
“I was privileged to host His Royal Highness at the final match and grand closing ceremony of the third edition of the late Emir Sanusi Unity and Peace Soccer Championship.
“The tournament, which attracted participants from across the Dutse Emirate, was designed to foster peaceful coexistence, youth empowerment, talent discovery, and community bonding.
“The championship also served as a tribute to the enduring legacy of the late Emir, whose commitment to unity, education, and development continues to inspire generations.”
