President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to inaugurate several projects today (Friday) at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The projects were sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund and were completed in record time last year, under the leadership of the vice chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina.
According to a statement signed by FUOYE registrar, Mr Mufutau Adesina Ibrahim, and released to journalists by the public relations officer, Mr. Foluso Ogunmodede, President Buhari will be represented by the Minister of Industry, Trade, Investments, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo.
Officials of TETFund who were on an inspection tour of the 2020/2021 annual projects in September last year gave a clean bill of health to the projects, expressing satisfaction while eulogizing the vice chancellor and his management for turning the university into a tourist attraction for learning within a span of two years of his administration.
The leader of the TETFund team, Mrs Aderoju Shitta, said her team was impressed with Fasina’s style of leadership.
Other members were Mr Gbenga Ajayi; Mr. Tijani Ibrahim, and a quantity surveyor and COEASU’s president, Dr. Smart Olujibeko.
