
PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari In Tuesday met with some Governors from the South-South geopolitical zone over some undisclosed issues.
In the meeting which took place in his office at the presidential villa, Abuja, were Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), Udom Emmanuel (Cross River) and Henry Dickson (Bayelsa), all members of the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Upon emerging from the meeting, a reticent Bayelsa Governor told State House correspondents that it was over issues that concerned the country and the individual states of the Governors.
He refused to give details when pressed but only added that Buhari had agreed to look into the matters that are raised in any way possible.
Dickson was also keen to detach the meeting from any political affiliation as he said that it had nothing to do with political parties.

He said: “My colleagues and I came to have an audience with the president to discuss issues pertinent to our country and pertinent to our respective States.
“We had a robust and fruitful discussion with the president and he promised to look into it in any way possible.”
Pressed further, the governor who flanked by his colleagues, said: “We don’t want to go into those details.”
