PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari on Friday played host to his Ugandan Yoweri Museveni at the presidential villa, Abuja.
He received President Museveni at the forecourt at 2:23pm before both leaders went into a closed door meeting which lasted for about two hours.
Speaking to State House correspondents at the end of the session, Museveni said he was looking forward to the development of transport Infrastructure that would easily link his country and Nigeria.
He expressed the hope of implementing national air and rail lines to facilitate movement between his country and Nigeria.
Museveni said so far Uganda and Nigeria have enjoyed mutual benefits especially in the area of security, noting that his country from time to time send military personel to train in Nigeria’s Defence institutions.
President Museveni who is in Abuja to share experiences with authorities of the National Defence College said he was pleased with the hospitality accorded him by President Buhari.
Also on Friday, wife of the President, Aisha Buhari received the First Lady of Uganda, Janet Museveni at the Aso Rock villa in Abuja.
