AFTER over three hours of delay, the 82 freed Chibok schoolgirls were ferried into the official residence of President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Sunday.
They had been expected at about 4:00 p.m. but had to complete medical examinations conducted by the Department of State Services (DSS) which delayed their arrival till about 7:05 p.m.
They were brought into the premises in two Marcopolo buses belonging to the Nigerian Army but the media, except for the personal photographer to the president and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), were barred from the event.
The buses were driven passed the last security gate leading into the residence, bypassing the last screening as officials shielded them from the media.
