According to a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Friday, the approval followed a brief the president received on Friday on the medical condition of the former vice president.
The statement said the approval covers the immediate charter of an air ambulance for the emergency movement and the cost of treatment.
President Buhari, the statement said, prayed God to grant the elder statesman quick recovery.
