The recent “Live Again” outreach event has transformed the lives of over 500 women from across Nigeria. Held in Lagos, this remarkable event provided crucial support and resources to women struggling with abuse, mental health challenges, and personal traumas.

Women from Oyo, Ogun, and Enugu states attended the outreach, with some from Oyo staying overnight at the live again shelter. The hospitality extended to these women ensured they felt safe and comfortable, fostering an environment where healing and transformation could begin.

“Live Again” outreach was also impactful for women who had been contemplating suicide. Through compassionate counseling and support, many found new hope and a renewed will to live. Forgiveness and healing were recurring themes, as attendees shared their stories and received the empathy they needed to start their journeys to recovery.

One woman, who found herself stranded at the event, was immediately taken to the shelter and provided with a place to stay that night. This act of kindness exemplified the outreach’s commitment to helping every woman in need.

The event featured breakout sessions on trauma recovery, emotional intelligence, business strategy, parenting, and more. These sessions equipped the women with practical skills and knowledge to improve their lives and gain confidence.

The presence of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency Team was a highlight of the event. They delivered an informative talk on domestic and sexual violence, offering guidance and support to those affected by these issues.

Food was provided for all attendees, ensuring that over 500 women were nourished and taken care of throughout the day. The outreach also included free makeup and a free photoshoot, allowing the women to see themselves in a new light and boosting their self-confidence.

Each woman went home with a free “live again” pack which contained a free published copy of the “12 Step Guide to Living Again,” a resource designed to help them continue their journey toward healing and self-improvement. The guide, combined with the event’s various activities, helped many women rediscover their voices and sense of self-worth.

The event was marked by powerful testimonies from attendees. Many women, who had been battling depression and hopelessness, spoke about how the outreach had given them a new perspective on life. They left with a renewed self-image and restored self-confidence, ready to face the future with optimism.

“Live Again” showcased the profound impact that community support and targeted interventions can have on individuals facing significant challenges. Through its compassionate approach, the event has inspired countless women to believe in themselves and their ability to overcome adversity.
