Former Senate Majority Leader, Jonathan Zwingina, has reportedly passed away.
According to Leadership, the politician died on Wednesday, October 2, at the age of 70 in Abuja.
Zwingina previously served as the Director-General of the MKO Abiola Campaign Organization during the June 12, 1993 presidential election.

While his family has yet to formally confirm his death, it is believed he succumbed to a prolonged illness.
The former lawmaker represented the Adamawa South Senatorial District in the Senate and was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before his later defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
