The embattled Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has arrived Lokoja, the Kogi State.
Melaye, conveyed in an ambulance by the police authorities, according to information, is due to appear before the Federal High Court today (Thursday).
On his arrival in Kogi, Malaye was moved to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) office in the north-central under appreciable presence of armed policemen.
Melaye, who had been admitted at the National Hospital, Abuja, before his movement to Kogi by the police, is to face charges on alleged “criminal conspiracy, causing damage to government property, attempted suicide and escape from lawful custody.”
He became a patients at the hospital after he was said to have jumped out of a moving police vehicle on Tuesday, April 24.
Maleye, said to have attempted to evade police arrest, decided to jump out of police vehicle conveying him to Lokoja, Kogi State, where the police had planned to interrogate and later arraign him on the allegation that he armed some thugs and is connected with other criminal activities in Kogi State.
