The Lagos State House of Assembly on Tuesday passed the Amotekun Corps Bill by amending the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps Agency Bill.
The lawmakers, at plenary on Tuesday, amended the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps Law to include the Amotekun corps.

Tribune Online that Tunde Braimoh-led Committee on Information, Strategy and Security held a public hearing on the bill on February 24, 2020.
The hearing was held to get inputs from members of the public.
