The Federal High Court in Lagos State, on Wednesday, granted businessman Pascal Okechukwu, generally known as Cubana Chief Priest, N10m bail with two sureties
Cubana Chief Priest was arraigned in court this morning 17 April 2024 for naira abuse, but pleads not guilty to the offence charged.
He stood before Justice Kehinde Ogundare facing three charges related to the misuse of the Nigerian currency, accused of both spraying and altering the nation’s money during a social gathering, which violates the regulations outlined in the Central Bank Act of 2007. The incident reportedly occurred on February 13, 2024, at the Eko Hotel.

Cubana Chief Priest was said to have also committed the offences while dancing during a social event.
He was said to have tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 notes issued by the CBN by spraying the same for two hours.
