The African Action Congress (AAC), at its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, on Monday, said Omoyele Sowore has been suspended as the National Chairman of the party.
The committee, in its announcement said, the suspension of Sowore and other members of his executive takes effect from March 27.
It also announced that their suspension is to last for six months except overturned by a National Convention of the party.
According to the NEC, Sowore is being suspended for alleged anti-party activities, financial misappropriation, and for his failure to convene NEC meeting.
However, Leonard Nzenwa has been appointed as the new acting national chairman, and has since been sworn-in.
