The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has hailed Borno Governor, Babagana Zulum for appointing Dauda Iliya, a seasoned journalist, as Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy.
The chapel’s Secretary, Ismail Alfa Abdulrahim, lauded Iliya’s appointment as “a well-thought decision,” citing his wealth of experience, hard work, and dedication to duty. Iliya’s leadership and vision as NUJ Borno State Council Chairman inspired many journalists, and the chapel is confident he will excel as SA media.
Replacing the late Mallam Isa Gusau, who passed away in February 2024, Iliya brings valuable expertise to enhance government-public communication. The chapel assured Governor Zulum of continued support and cooperation, urging Iliya to take on this new role as a trust, challenge, and call to duty.
