The school, founded in October 1964, has continued to pursue its mission of raising students who contribute positively to their communities.
Alumni chairman, Alhaji Ogunsola Kunle Osupa, a member of the 1979 set, said the diamond anniversary will provide an opportunity to strengthen the institution.
In his words, “the purpose is to come together to celebrate six decades of our Alma mater, to bond in peace in order to continue to uphold the legacies and vision of the founder Chief J O Adeniran.”
The week-long event, hosted by Oyo State Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, will run from Monday, September 29, to Sunday, October 5, 2025. It will open with a road walk, followed by a football tournament, talent hunt, project commissioning, award ceremony, and luncheon.
A Jumat service will take place on Friday at Seyi Makinde Mosque, while a thanksgiving service will conclude the celebration on Sunday at Bishop Akinyele Anglican Church, Iwo Road, Ibadan.
