He stated this on the occasion of the award/sendforth ceremony organised on Thursday, June 28, 2018, by the Police Community Relations Committee Area Command Owerri, for the Bayelsa State Police Commissioner, Dan Awuna, and newly posted Imo State Commissioner, Dasuki Galadenchi.
According to the bishop, the call became necessary in view of the recent challenges facing law enforcement agencies as it related to the state of insecurity.

He called on Nigerians to support in whatever ways they could to improve the efforts of security agencies, noting that security was everyone’s concern.
Speaking at the occasion, the Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Dan Awuna, described his coming to Imo State as a sort of homecoming and promised a donation of 100 bags of cement to ensure the completion of the building project embarked upon by the PCRC, Area Command, Owerri.
In his remarks, Galadenchi said he would do his best to eradicate the activities of hoodlums.
