Benue Gov extends World Teachers’ Day greetings to Educators

Benue State Governor, Rev Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has extended his warm wishes to all teachers across the country and around the world on the special occasion of World Teachers’ Day.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Kula Tersoo, and made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Thursday, the governor described teachers as dedicated educators.

He emphasised that teachers play a crucial role in shaping the minds of students, imparting knowledge, and fostering personal and intellectual growth.

The Governor acknowledged that the commitment and passion of teachers towards their profession help illuminate the path to wisdom, learning, and a brighter future for generations to come.

“Let us take a moment to express our gratitude and appreciation for the hard work and dedication of teachers everywhere.

“They play a pivotal role in shaping not only academic growth but also the character development of their students.

“Their unwavering commitment to excellence ensures that each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

“Thank you, teachers, for your tireless efforts in making the world a better place through education,” the Governor stated in the release.

Governor Alia promised that his administration will continue to create an environment where teachers are respected and valued.

He added that their welfare will remain a priority for the current administration, enabling them to excel in their vital role of building a stronger, more prosperous, and more inclusive society for the future.
