The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has admonished President Muhammadu Buhari to be prepared to accept defeat if he loses Saturday’s presidential election.
According to National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, who made this declaration at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, observed that President Buhari has lost his political strongholds across the country.
Ologbondiyan, who highlighted how the former ruling party will emerge the winner of the polls, said: “We want to urge President Buhari to be ready to accept defeat because he has lost all his stronghold in the states”
Ologbondiyan, who decried Thursday’s attack on the Kwankwasiya movement in Kano State, affirmed that the party support the prosecution of ballot box snatcher, warning the military against accidental discharge.”

Meanwhile, the PDP has closed all forms of campaigns for the February 23, 2019, Presidential election at midnight Thursday in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act.
The PDP expressed gratitude to all Nigerians for their solidarity with the people’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and urges them to protect their votes.
A statement issued by Ologbodiyan said by the announcement, “the PDP henceforth no longer authorizes any campaign material under any form whatsoever for our party or our candidate for the February 23 Presidential election.”
