Former Big Brother Naija housemate and comedian, Aderombi Adedayo, also known as DeeOne, has disclosed that he has been invited by the Nigeria Police Force, Force Intelligence Department (FID) for a routine interview.

Deeone made this known in a post shared on X on Thursday, where he read out the content of the police invitation letter addressed to him.

According to the letter signed by the Commissioner of Police, Force Intelligence Department, the invitation is part of an ongoing inquiry and is described as a fact-finding interview.

The letter directed DeeOne to report to the FID Annex Office, Lagos, through the OCCIOS team.

Reacting to the invitation, DeeOne said he believes it may be connected to a video he posted earlier, which has generated a lot of reactions and calls from different people.

He noted that while opinions have varied, he does not regret making the video and insists that he did nothing wrong.

He stated that he would not apologise if the invitation is linked to his comments, which he described as his personal views expressed as a Nigerian citizen.

“I saw something strange that happened in Turkey involving our President, our dear President, and I shared my views as an ordinary Nigerian. If this invitation is about the video I posted yesterday, I have received many calls and heard different opinions.

“Some people said DeeOne was cyberbullying, that I should not have mentioned the President’s son or spoken about the President.”

DeeOne also addressed the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, assuring him that he would honour the invitation.

He said he plans to report to the police office on Monday, promising to keep Nigerians informed about developments surrounding the invitation.
