In the midst of the BBNaija All Stars house, Ike Onyema, a familiar face from the ‘Pepper Dem’ edition of the show in 2019, has made a resolute declaration that he will not allow his former romantic partner, Mercy Eke, to manipulate him a second time.
Ike’s determination to protect himself from a potential repeat of history comes after a recent disagreement between the two.
In their season, Ike and Mercy were a prominent couple, capturing the attention and intrigue of viewers.
However, their romantic relationship eventually dissolved, leading to unresolved tensions between them. Their reunion in the BBNaija All Stars house has brought past emotions to the surface once again.
The catalyst for their most recent conflict was a seemingly trivial issue – a portion of pizza.
Following the altercation, Ike engaged in a conversation with fellow housemate Kiddwaya and other housemates on Saturday, during which he candidly shared his feelings about his previous relationship with Mercy and his determination to safeguard his emotions.
Recounting his past experience, Ike expressed a sense of being used and manipulated by Mercy during their time together in the ‘Pepper Dem’ season.
He opened up about his feelings of generosity towards her during their romance, only to feel taken advantage of. This sentiment has left a lasting impact on him, fueling his resolve not to allow history to repeat itself.
Ike acknowledged Mercy’s intelligence and strategic mindset, attributing her actions to calculated moves.
He admitted that he felt she viewed him as someone she could easily manipulate, a perception he aims to change this time around.
“Mercy feels I owe her something but I won’t buy it, she’s very smart and all her moves are calculated.”
“I was very generous with her during our season but she took me for a fool, I am never doing it again this time,” Ike firmly declared, signifying his determination to guard his emotions and not let past mistakes define his experience in the house.
