In addition, Phyna age-shamed Chichi by stating she is 33 and referred to her as a stripper. Phyna accused Chichi of poisoning her friend in Cyprus out of jealousy.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Phyna revealed that her flare-up was a result of the unpleasant words Chichi used against her, which were not aired by the show organizers. She disclosed that Chichi had called her an abortionist and body-shamed her, prompting her angry response. Phyna highlighted the irony of being body-shamed by someone with a natural body, considering she herself had to go under the knife to enhance her body.
As regards the lawsuit, Phyna stated that she was not afraid of being sued, as she had already prepared to deal with it in court.
“The way I attacked her, they should have known that she said something offensive. That part was muted. Because the previous day, you body-shamed me and called me shapeless with saggy boobs. That’s why I had to use the words that would have an impact on her. You can’t body shame me when I have a natural body. I had to remind her that there are consequences. You called me an abortionist, and I reminded you that you have abandoned two kids.”
“Two days later, she sued me for N100 million for libel and defamation of character. I called my lawyer to ask what would happen if we didn’t respond to the lawsuit. My lawyer informed me that if we didn’t reply within 7 days, she could take me to court. The next day, I prepared myself for court by buying a suit.”
“I don’t seek trouble, but I’m not afraid of it.”
