Victory Okokon has been crowned the new Head of House (HoH) on Big Brother Naija Season 10 after clinching victory in the Monday challenge, effectively replacing Thelma Lawson less than 24 hours after she was announced as HoH.
The surprise switch came as part of Big Brother’s evolving gameplay, which introduced a twist that allowed housemates another shot at the HoH title just a day after Thelma’s win.
Victory outperformed his fellow contestants in the high-stakes challenge, earning him immunity from nominations and exclusive control of the house for the week.
In a move that caught many viewers off guard, Victory chose Joanna as both his deputy and house guest, bypassing fan-favourite Gigi Jasmine.
The pair will now share the HoH lounge and its privileges.
With this win, Victory follows in the footsteps of Jason Jae, who earlier made history as the first housemate to defend the HoH title under the show’s new rules.
The dethroned Thelma Lawson had made her mark as the first female HoH of the season during the Sunday night games.
