Bauchi: We’re committed to synergise with sister agencies — Police

Published by

The Bauchi State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with sister security agencies to enhance security operations and maintain a crime-free state.

State Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Mohammed, made this statement while receiving the new Brigade Commander of the 33 Artillery Brigade, Bauchi, Brigadier General UG Simon, at the State Headquarters.

Brigadier General Simon emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Police Force and the Brigade, acknowledging the police’s crucial role in internal security. He pledged to strengthen the existing partnership between the two agencies.

CP Auwal welcomed this commitment, citing the successful collaboration with the outgoing Brigade Commander and expressing confidence that the partnership would continue under Brigadier General Simon’s leadership.

To symbolize goodwill and mutual respect, Brigadier General Simon presented a commemorative plaque to CP Auwal.

In a related development, CP Auwal welcomed newly passed-out Police Constables from the Police Training School in Bauchi. The officers, all indigenes of Bauchi State, have been deployed to serve within their respective local government areas in line with the community policing strategy of Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.

Addressing the new officers, CP Auwal underscored the importance of integrity, discipline, and professionalism in their service. He urged them to respect human rights, avoid corruption and misconduct, and serve as exemplary ambassadors of the Police Force.

He warned that any act of indiscipline or corruption would attract severe disciplinary action, as emphasized in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil.
